About Me

“You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.”

-Brené Brown

Hi, I’m Elli and I’m learning how to live.

In 2009, after receiving a diagnosis of Post Natal Depression and Generalised Anxiety Disorder, I realised I needed to re-think almost everything about my life.

I became curious.

Over time I began to communicate the things I was curious about. This has included a blog, live conversations and speaking, and recently the launch of a podcast Learning How To Live.

My first book was released in March 2019: How Not To Be Good. The A to Z of Anxiety, a memoir in just over 26 parts.

If you want to hear more from me while also supporting my work, you can join the community at Patreon.

Before I started writing online I trained and worked for 15 years as a theatre director. I remain passionate about communication, composition and collaboration.

I live in Liverpool, with my husband of 19 years and our three children.
